Working on delivering an inclusive online journey

Airbus undertakes to make its internet website accessible in accordance with Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005 and Decree No. 2019-768 of July 24, 2019.

For this purpose, Airbus has created a multi-year accessibility scheme and annual action plans, the latest version is the Airbus Multiannual Digital Accessibility Scheme 2024-2026.

Content not subject to the accessibility requirement:

Certain content is exempt from the accessibility obligation and falls outside the scope of the legal requirements : 

  • Office document files published before September 23, 2018, unless they are necessary for completing an administrative procedure falling within the tasks carried out by the organisation concerned;
  • Pre-recorded audio and video content, including content containing interactive components, published before September 23, 2020;
  • Live audio and video content, including content containing interactive components;
  • Online maps and mapping services, provided that, where such maps are intended to provide a location or directions, essential information is made available in an accessible digital format;
  • Third party content that is neither funded nor developed by the organisation concerned and is not under its control;
  • Reproductions of items from heritage collections that cannot be made fully accessible due to:
    • incompatibility between accessibility requirements and the preservation of the item or the authenticity of the reproduction, particularly in terms of contrast, or
    • the unavailability of automated and cost effective solutions enabling the easy transcription of the text of manuscripts or other heritage collection items and its restitution in a format compatible with the accessibility requirements;
  • Content from intranet and extranet sites published before 23 September 2019, until such sites undergo a substantial revision;
  • Content from websites and mobile applications that is neither required for completing an active administrative procedure nor updated or modified after 23 September 2019, in particular archived content.

However, until Decree No. 2019-768 of 24 July 2019 enters into force under the conditions set out in Article 10 thereof, the State, local authorities, and the public bodies under their authority remain subject to the accessibility obligations laid down in Decree No. 2009-546 of 14 May 2009.
